Our Automated Cryptocurrency Trading Software now benefits from Portfolio Level and Cross-Portfolio Position Management.
Our team are currently testing this functionality.
We see Bulk Trading as helping to;
Reduce Manual intervention
Free assets from limit orders
Rebooking a certain amount of the existing limit orders for different price options
Moving capital to other portfolios for either cashflow or to allocate assets to different strategies

One important design objective for CATS was to never simply add more and more features to the Trading API (TAPI). This would mean regular upgrades as we add more datasets. Customers will frequently request more indicators but this becomes a thankless task.
Instead, the software is designed to be extensible. We only build flexibility and more capabilities at a fundamental level.
A simple example would be that most open source trading software adds more and more trading indicators, RSI, Bollinger Bands, Opening/Closing etc.
CATS instead focuses on Core Entity Filtersets and the ability for external software to publish them to the Strategy for evaluation.
When doing Swing Trading, this is roughly what happens…
You set up a Buy/Sell Limit Order for a trading pair below or above the current price
The trade executes and you reverse this
You gain more coins
Swing Trading works for a while, eventually though
Assets experience prolonged downside/upside, never recovering to see that limit order fill
The trades sit there for a long time and in many circumstances, the value of the asset depreciates never to recover
The importance of time preference plays out here;
Are you happy to gain more coins in the expectance of a massive rise in the future?
Are you seeing many coins never recover and stuck with a bag of coins that may never recover?
A final unsung scenario is the surprise element? This, in my view, plays out less frequently than one would like, but it happens more often than one thinks.
Effectively. You have a longstanding limit order, where one coin has fallen a lot. At some point, the coin that fell pumps massively. The right thing to do is to sell that coin and set a buy order at the level before the pump occurred.
If a portfolio has many orders, the probability that taking some allocations off the table, rebooking them, potentially creating new orders or moving balances to other portfolios, is not a bad idea.
Doing this manually when you have perhaps, hundreds of limit orders across portfolios is more than a burden. Manually tracking previous trades, their prices and amounts - harder still.
