Please do reach out to us at commercial@cryptostatto.com . Much of our latest work is modularised and will become individual products and services. We have been truly enjoying embracing the nostr protocols, including its social media clients. It you have ideas or innovations you wish to be developed, or can synergy - reach out!
Nothing in this article should be taken as financial advice.
We hope that 2025 was not too terrible for you and are wishing you a prosperous and happy 2026.
The website itself has all core underlying infrastructure in place. Our only change has been to content and pages on new software and services. We are expecting a radical overhaul of our web data platform.
The overriding aims of Crypto Statto were;
Our focus over the last six months has been dedicated towards the portfolio management sides of things. Mostly, Portfolio Management is synonymous with which most understand as "Automated Trading".
Our software is a rules engine that interacts with portfolios. The goal is to minimise losses and hopefully make profits.
The software itself has been running for months now on multiple instances. We ran small portfolios with coins and fiat in them. We have a small team of collaborators running a local version of our cloud systems.
We are running small portfolios with a variety of trading strategies to test behaviour and to permit us to consider what extra functionality needed to handle different market scenarios.
After significant work on the security (more on that later), we are about to add more trade types to apply bulk portfolio positional management.
In terms of profitability, the market has suffered sustained bear drawdown across most coins. We have seen lower losses than in non-automated trading portfolios.
Our target is to be running a cloud based instance early 2026 for our team to test the hosting architecture, ready for offering to customers.
A major requirement for the software is to allow customers to manage all major functionality of CATS. It is worth highlighting that all Centralised Exchanges implement many features to manage their trading. We are not aiming to replicate on-exchange functionality.

The Trader Management Portal;
The Security Portal is aimed to ensure your keys remain your knowledge. We at Crypto Statto have zero need to access customer portfolio keys. We neither want to save data on the cloud instance.
Our architecture is designed to offer fault tolerance and non open text storage of your data when hosted on your dedicated cloud instance.
We have started with Nostr as our key generation and encryption protocol. Whilst we don't expect this to be fully within the early 2026 test cloud instance, this will be in the initial offering to customers.
One of the hardest things with trading cryptocurrency is the dualistic nature of thinking in terms of fiat versus coins. You can be gaining coins but losing fiat value over varying timeframes.
Our software has an Accounting API that snapshots portfolio data to help monitor profit and loss. This software has been running for months now, but we still have certain reports outstanding. We expect this software to be in the first or second release of the customer release.
We may offer this as an independent tool for customers.
Well into December now, we have seen Bitcoin hit $126k and now fall back as low as $82k. We now see a slight uptick, but not much.
The confounding feature to the cryptocurrency market are those influencers, some predicting $250k, others now claiming $40k. The truth is, none of them have a clue. We have more and more influencers regurgitating content about the FED, stablecoins, the debasement trade.
Elsewhere we see regulation destroying consumer confidence and causing many companies to not operate in certain jurisdictions. Other jurisdictions are seeing the benefits of blockchain and cryptocurrency as a means of providing a host of services to not just finance, but legal, and online payment service providers.
The Strategic Reserve play seems to be concentrating ownership of Bitcoin. Whilst most retail doesn't own even a few Satoshis of Bitcoin. Bitcoin appears to being if not the new bond, certainly a new play on an asset.
At the same time, so many fantastic innovations are being added to Bitcoin, whilst many are not a fan of the Lightning network it offers many individuals the ability to make payments at low fees - Nostr being a fantastic example of this.
A major reason we embarked upon our Crypto Statto journey was because we are certain there is enough volatility in the market to not put much cash into cryptocurrency, accumulate coins and hope that these coins see major gains in the future. The continued advocation to buy the dip or dollar cost average into most major altcoins is simply a way of losing money. Cardano is a pinnacle example of why dollar cost averaging in is a terrible strategy. Too many people will have just lost large sums of money following these influencers. Many good arguments are put across as to why an altcoin will rally and it actually decreases in fiat value.
The only way to get into altcoins is to swing trade trying to accumulate more and diversifying - in our opinion, not advice.
We are significantly lower in fiat value on our altcoins positions despite gaining more coins. Which ironically is great for tax purposes. We are all hoping that coins return to their all-time-highs. Perhaps, this is the most brutal element to altcoins. So many are sitting on varying amounts of altcoins they purchased and are underwater on them. Coins that make us wince particularly include;
Many others. We think that a combination of manual swing trading and using software such as our Automated Trading Software - CATS is the best way to accumulate coins.
A lot is made of Bitcoin dominance, but again, this figure is a red-herring. In essence, more tokens and coins are being issued. Capital floods into them and out. Bitcoin is still the top dog.
There have been some very big gainers. There always will be. Our next phase of work centres more around predictive trading with AI.
We could see a major backlash against this centralisation of Bitcoin - that backlash could be a new coin emerging, potentially privacy focused. The very essence of Bitcoin was as a replacement to the financial system. Instead it appears to be the new building block of the financial system. There have not been enough individuals using cryptocurrency as a medium of exchange. We may see a devolvement away from bitcoin by hardcore enthusiasts.
We like Litecoin as an alternative but who knows?
Avoiding politics, the West is suffering a deepened economic drawdown. Everyone is poorer with less purchasing power. Furthermore, governments are making terrible economic decisions.
People are not able to afford to buy cryptocurrency unless they are exchanging it for other coins. Centralised Exchanges have to fund fiat withdrawals with real fiat. The advent of stablecoins is not in a position to cover that gap.
Therefore, the utmost objective is to buy as small amount of cryptocurrency as you can with cash and to keep trading. Get your cash back and grow your stack.
We have seen Gold soar over the last five years in particular. 2025 has been a massive year for silver. We see only higher gains. We suspect many are moving between "People's money" - crypto, and "God's money" - Gold and Silver.
Our opinion on Gold, Bitcoin, Silver and this never-ending debate over which to hold - all of them, as cash efficiently as possible if over a longer time horizon.

Undoubtedly, we see unprecedented rises in the fiat value of Gold and Silver.

In particular, we see that Bitcoin is in a heavy one year bear against Gold.
We expect to be running our trading software commercially from around February 2026. Testing and analytics will be in abundant supply by that point. We think a small amount of money in crypto, managed by automated and manual trading - albeit with a premium is far better than simply dollar cost averaging in.
